Axis Mundi (2013-2014) Axis Mundi (2013-2014) Images Courtesy NASA/JPL-Caltech Pigment printed directly on plexi, resin and various collected objects, 31.75 cm x 31.75 cm, Unique Axis Mundi in mythology, is the world centre, the connection between Heaven and Earth. In this series of work, I explore what connects me with my heaven. On one side of the panel, are NASA images of some of the furthest galaxies. While NASA is constantly studying galaxies far far away, these images are inverted in every sense, suggesting that we should be looking inwards. The images are printed onto plexi glass, which were then manipulated by me under heat, leaving behind traces of myself. Suspended in-between the resin are a variety of highly personal objects which connects me with my higher realms.
